Tom Rush |
Derek returned to the theme of the recent death of Graeme Miles, singing The Shores of Old Blighty, a song he mentioned last week and had never sung before.
Geoff used his guitar slide-style for Tom Rush's Lost my Drivin' Wheel. On Maggie's request, Mike and Kevin sang Banks of Claudy together for the first time in twenty-five years. Apparently they and others used to sing it in five-part harmony. The rest of us filled in as well as we could.
Ray sang three of his excellent renditions, finishing up with Eric Bogle's If Wishes Were Fishes.
Ed invited us to look him up on the web. Tonight he was singing and playing the guitar on his own, but he said he is sometimes accompanied by a singer and a melodeon player. So far I've found him at the following places: Youtube, Soundcloud, Facebook, Myspace, Reverbnation.
Next week is very important, being the Charity Night in aid of BUST. please come along and bring several friends with you.
